American sports writer and cultural critic Bill Simmons criticized Taylor Swift’s recent celebrations at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game. The global pop star jumped and cheered for her husband as he scored his first touchdown of the season during their game against the Indianapolis Colts. As per videos circulating online, she seemingly mouthed, “he’s my husband” while flashing her wedding ring.

Bill Simmons slammed Taylor Swift’s enthusiastic celebrations at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game. Simmons argued on his podcast that no other celebrity could escape criticism by behaving in such a manner.
He remarked that he does not want to upset the Swifties, but he cannot help but think of her devoted fanbase as her shield. Continuing further, he said: “I almost feel like she’s pushing the line to see ‘what can I get away [with], how obnoxious can I be in the box without there being a backlash?’ And I think that’s about as close as we’re gonna get to the line.”
The “Opalite” crooner is dutifully playing the role of a cheerleader to Kelce, who is possibly playing his last NFL season before retirement. Swift also attended the Chiefs’ first game against the Denver Broncos on September 14.
Swift donned a red checkered dress as cameras spotted the pop icon chatting with Tom Cruise. She then cheered for Kelce in a suite next to her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and her in-laws, Donna and Jason Kelce.
However, Kelce made history in the second game itself when he powered to the second spot in all-time receiving yards for tight ends. The Chiefs tight end has officially surpassed Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Witten and is only behind former Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez (via PEOPLE).
Amid criticism from certain quarters, Swift’s fans rallied behind her in support. One fan commented: “F**KING LOVE HER!!
