Prince Harry & Meghan Have Their Work Cut Out With Kids After UK Move — Expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being urged to lean hard on routine as their kids settle into life across the Atlantic. Royal commentator Lynn Carratt tells The Express US that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet face the toughest adjustment in the family’s move to the UK.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet grew up knowing California as their home, making the shift to Britain a bigger deal for them, per the expert. “Britain may still feel like somewhere they visit rather than somewhere they belong,” said Carratt. She pointed out that their friends, school, and daily routines were built around life in Montecito.

Carratt also suggested that King Charles likely influenced the family’s decision to relocate. Whatever prompted the move, it marks a significant shift for two kids, who have had very little exposure to Britain.

Archie was born in the UK in May 2019 and spent his first few months there before the family moved to America. However, aside from that, the kids had visited their dad’s home country twice in six years.

Despite the challenges ahead, Carratt framed the timing as something of an opportunity. Archie and Lilibet are old enough to grasp that they have relatives thousands of miles away. Yet, they are still young to build real relationships with that side of the family, potentially turning Britain into a genuine second home.

To ease the transition, Carratt recommended Harry and Meghan focus on giving their kids as much consistency as possible. She floated the idea that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, could end up in the UK with them. Doria, she added, could even relocate, given how central she has remained in the kids’ lives.

That scenario looks unlikely for now. Doria still lives in View Park-Windsor Hills, roughly two hours from her daughter’s former Montecito home. She remains active in her local yoga community on the West Coast.

TMZ reported she has no plans to relocate, though she’s expected to visit the family regularly in the UK. Meanwhile, Meghan is settling into British life herself, suggesting the family’s adjustment is already underway.
