Piers Morgan Calls Out Princess Diana’s Brother Over New Memoir Claims

Piers Morgan has hit back at Princess Diana’s brother, disputing controversial claims made in his new memoir. Charles Spencer’s book titled “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” will be published by Penguin Random House on September 22, 2026. The memoir reportedly makes explosive claims about King Charles’ behavior in the aftermath of Diana’s death in 1997.

Piers Morgan has issued a sharp, immediate response to Earl Spencer over his “vengeful” attack on King Charles in his upcoming memoir.

Spencer’s book is expected to launch scathing criticism of the royal family. Early excerpts targeting the King have already emerged, drawing a reaction from the Palace.

However, in an interview with CBS’s Mark Phillips, the Earl said, “I’m at a stage of my life where the past is the past. I don’t hold resentments. I’m not a vengeful, resentful person. I’m just an eyewitness to history.”

Spencer noted that while he does not share a personal bond with Charles, he still respects him in his role as King. He said, “I’m not being rude about them. I’m not interested in the Royal Family.”

Piers Morgan swiftly reacted to the remarks, posting a clip from the interview on X. His caption read, “He says, having waited 30 years to launch a vengeful, resentful attack on King Charles.” Morgan ended the post with an eye-rolling emoji.

His reaction sparked a strong response online, with royal watchers weighing in on both the claims and the backlash. An X user wrote, “Don’t really like him either, but I’m still Team Spencer. Deadbeat dad and husband Charles is finally getting his comeuppance.”

Another questioned, “Piers Morgan, your loyalty to the crown is blinding you from reality. Are they gonna give you a medal or what?” A netizen echoed, “You sycophantic, bought-and-paid-for slave.” While, a supportive comment read, “What a convenient excuse- not vengeful, just a historian.”

In another X post, Piers Morgan accused Charles Spencer of hypocrisy for criticizing the media’s treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while his own book targets King Charles in a similar way.
