Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski confirm their separation after nine years, per report
As per PEOPLE, Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski confirmed the separation. The couple said, “We have been separated for a while.” They added that it had “proven to be the right move” for their family. However, their statement emphasized continued support. “We’ve got each other forever,” they said, before adding, “and it’s GOOD.” The pair married in 2017 and share daughter Nina and son Thomas Jr.
Meanwhile, their relationship began years before the split announcement. Seyfried and Sadoski first met in 2015 while starring in “The Way We Get By.” They later reunited for “The Last Word,” playing love interests onscreen. By March 2016, their relationship had become romantic. They became engaged later that year and quietly eloped in March 2017. Sadoski later recalled, “We just took off into the country with an officiant.” He called the private ceremony “beautiful” and “everything that it should be.”
Still, the actors remained publicly supportive throughout their marriage. In 2017, Sadoski called Seyfried the person he “love, admire, respect most in the world.” She later thanked him during her 2022 Emmy acceptance speech for “The Dropout.”
In January 2026, the actress said her husband “sacrifices a lot for” her during busy filming periods. Notably, she posted Sadoski on Instagram Stories on September 15, the same day the split became public. The playful post called him a “#reptiledad.”
