Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Pull Kids From ‘Perfect’ School in Just After Two Days — Report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children have changed schools just two days after starting the new term in the UK. The move reportedly followed concerns from the family’s security team about the practicalities of the daily school commute.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly switch kids’ school just days after term begins

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have moved schools after spending only two days at their original one. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly made the call on the advice of their security team, reports HELLO! Magazine.

Sources close to the couple told the outlet that getting Archie and Lilibet to and from the school had become a logistical challenge. Heavy traffic and the distance between the property and the family’s residence reportedly strained their small private security detail. One incident apparently made it difficult for their vehicles to stay together in convoy, adding to the unease.

A friend of the family added, “It’s a real shame, because they absolutely adored the school, the kids and their parents. It was perfect for them in every way.” The friend added that the decision came down to the team’s inability to make the school run “operationally secure.”

Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, visited a new school for a trial session before settling in. A spokesman for the couple confirmed the move stemmed from “a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements.” They also stressed it was in no way a reflection on the previous school’s care, or the “exceptional care the children have received there.”

The development comes as Meghan has reportedly been granted her first government-backed security review since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Harry has pursued reinstated police protection since 2021, losing a legal challenge in May 2025. The couple announced their extended UK return in August, shortly before enrolling their children in school for the first time in the country.
