Marvel Rumor Teases X-Files-Like MCU Spy Show & Another Big Project Will Be Revealed Soon

Marvel is reportedly working on an X-Files-style MCU spy series alongside another mystery project. A new rumor claims one of these projects is also expected to be announced in 2026.

According to X user Doom’s Servant, two unannounced MCU Disney+ series are currently in development. One of these shows is reportedly inspired by The X-Files and may feature various MCU characters as guest appearances. The series might also be announced at the upcoming New York Comic Con. The rumor also suggests that there’s another project in the works. However, the second project reportedly has no substantial update so far.

Marvel fans should take these claims with a grain of salt until Marvel provides an official update.

Major questions surrounding Daredevil

The latest rumor from Doom’s Servant also claims that there’s a possibility of Daredevil: Born Again Season 4. However, it’s not certain whether it will happen in the future. Since Charlie Cox’s return as Matt Murdock and his debut in the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home, Daredevil has now received two seasons of his Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premiered earlier this year and received largely positive reviews. Currently, it holds a solid Tomatometer score of 86% and a Popcornmeter score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The third season is expected to arrive in March 2027. However, a fourth season seems unlikely due to the reception of Season 2. Although the second season was well received by critics and audiences, its viewership declined significantly.

According to a report from April 2026, the entire Daredevil: Born Again show suffered a 46% dip between the first five episodes of each season. Plus, the watch time in hours also came down by 54%.

During the comparable five-week period, Season 1 recorded 8.35 million views, 24 million hours watched, and 1.44 billion minutes viewed. Season 2, on the other hand, had 4.5 million views, 10.8 million hours watched, and 652 million minutes viewed in the same period.
