Industry scooper Daniel Richtman claimed on X, formerly Twitter, that the additional photography has been completed, adding that the team filmed a scene that “will make a lot of people happy.” Marvel has not confirmed the reshoots or revealed what the scene involves.
That short update has already led to plenty of speculation about what could have been added to Avengers: Doomsday. The movie is expected to bring together several major Marvel characters and teams. And it could make even a brief new scene potentially important to the larger story.
However, before any official word on the matter, fans should note that reshoots are common for movies of this scale and do not necessarily indicate production problems. Studios often use additional filming to adjust story beats, add character moments, or improve the flow between different parts of a large ensemble movie.

One of the biggest theories involves Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff. Wanda Maximoff’s potential return has also been a major topic among Marvel fans. That speculation has intensified following rumors that recent additional filming involved Wanda alongside Sue Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby.
Other theories are considerably more speculative. Some fans are hoping the mystery scene could involve Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine or Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. There is also speculation that Marvel could have filmed a sequence designed to connect Doomsday directly to Avengers: Secret Wars.
