Eric Trump has shown off a new “Patriot Passport” featuring his father, Donald Trump, in a video posted on X. The limited-edition U.S. passport was created by the State Department as part of the country’s 250th birthday celebrations. Eric Trump opened the document on camera and expressed his approval of the design. “Look what just came in the mail. New Passport… I absolutely love it,” Eric said in the clip.
The commemorative passport incorporates several references to U.S. history. Its artwork places a portrait of President Trump alongside text from the Declaration of Independence. The design also includes a Freedom 250 gold flag and an illustration of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
Eric’s post has also attracted criticism from users who objected to the design and the decision to include Donald Trump’s image. One user wrote, “The good news is anyone can legally put a sticker on top of uncle trumps narcissistic face,” while another added, “The person in the photo has a huge inferiority complex.”
A third user commented, “How utterly self-centered and, frankly, insecure is he that he needs to memorialize himself everywhere he can?” Meanwhile, a fourth added, “Imagine believing that is anything other than cringe and embarrassing.”
The State Department has set the production limit for the document at 250,000 copies. Each passport costs $130, while first-time adult applicants must also pay a $35 acceptance fee. The limited-edition passports are currently on backorder at agencies across the country (via Radar Online).
