Netflix has released the trailer for Danny Boyle‘s next film, Ink, a biographical drama about Rupert Murdoch. The film stars Guy Pearce as Murdoch, Jack O’Connell as Larry Lamb, and Claire Foy, among others.
The film is written by James Graham, who adapted it from his 2017 stage play of the same name. It explores Murdoch’s 1969 acquisition and transformation of The Sun, which was struggling financially and suffering from declining readership. The acquisition marked Murdoch’s entry into the British newspaper industry.

She plays a female reporter who has been reported to be an amalgamation of various female reporters who worked at the organization at the time.
The film is set to have a brief theatrical run starting December 11, 2026, before arriving on Netflix on January 8, 2027.
