Elon Musk chastised AI chatbot Grok for not roasting singer Billie Eilish strongly over capitalism comments. Musk rekindled his long-standing feud with the 24-year-old singer over her criticism of wealth and capitalism when he asked Grok to ridicule her. Not satisfied with the AI chatbot’s response, the trillionaire pushed Grok to do better.
Elon Musk asked Grok to sharpen its criticism of Billie Eilish after objecting to the chatbot’s first response
Elon Musk berated Grok, asking it to be more “vulgar” in its criticism of Billie Eilish on X (formerly Twitter). It started with Eilish teasing the launch of her new fragrance. The brief video was accompanied by the caption: “Behind the scenes of Eilish Intense, Billie’s newest fragrance, available now on billieeilish.com.”
Musk commented under her post, slamming the “Bad Guy” singer for her “hypocrisy.” In his comment, the Tesla founder wrote how Eilish has always been vocal about her views on capitalism and yet uses the platform to endorse her brand. He wrote: “Grok, please roast Eilish’s hypocrisy in hating on capitalism and ‘stolen land’ while selling perfume and living in luxury on that same land.”
Grok replied, stating: “Billie critiques capitalism and ‘stolen land’ while launching Eilish Intense perfume and living in multi-million-dollar LA properties on that same land. The system she faults funds the luxury; the territory stays hers. Clear inconsistency.”
However, Musk wasn’t pleased with the AI chatbot’s straightforward response and termed it “far too short.” He also criticized Grok for being “boring” before requesting the AI chatbot to be “at least a little vulgar, longer and wittier.”
Grok issued an explosive comment, to which the Tesla founder applauded its AI service by simply writing: “that’s a little better.”
Fans showed support for Musk and joined in berating Eilish over her alleged hypocrisy. One user commented: “Isn’t this an example of a super-rich person participating in capitalism… in order to get even more rich? I’m confused.” A second user slammed: “Why aren’t you giving it away for free since capitalism is so evil?”
A third user chimed in: “Anti-capitalist millionaire selling $88 bottles of perfume. How fitting.” Another user penned: “Literally the most capitalist celebrity on the planet. Welcome to the team.”
