King Charles and Queen Camilla’s reported tour plans come to the forefront amid reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to the UK. Buckingham Palace has reportedly revealed that the King and Queen will embark on a royal tour in the wider Caribbean region this fall. On the other hand, multiple outlets have reported that the Sussexes landed in Birmingham on Wednesday.
Palace reveals King Charles and Queen Camilla’s upcoming tour plans
Buckingham Palace has reportedly confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to the Caribbean for a royal tour. This upcoming tour will extend from October 27 to November 4. As per the Palace, the tour will “celebrate communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth family” (via Express).
Charles and Camilla will travel to Antigua and Barbuda. Their visit will take place around the same time they attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026, which will be in early November. Notably, this event will be held in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, and will unite leaders from the 56 Commonwealth countries.
Back when Charles used to be the Prince of Wales, he visited Antigua and Barbuda in November 2017. However, it will be Camilla’s first official visit as the Queen. Moreover, the King will visit the Bahamas and Guyana, as requested by the UK government and also cordially invited by the country’s president.
While Charles and Camilla are keeping themselves occupied with royal engagements, Harry and Markle have returned to the UK after six years. The monarch was seemingly informed of the Sussexes’ plans on August 16. He has reportedly welcomed the idea of meeting his younger son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren in a private capacity.
Harry and Markle will reportedly live in a private, non-royal home while retaining their homes in Montecito and Portugal. It is reported that the couple will live in the Cotswolds. Their children have been enrolled in a British school and will reportedly commence their new term in September.
