PR expert Mayah Riaz has reportedly urged Meghan Markle to make careful choices if she decides to return to acting, warning that her next project could have a significant impact on her public image. According to The Mirror, Markle is believed to be in early talks to appear in the third season of Netflix’s “The Gentlemen,” which is being developed by Guy Ritchie.
However, there has been no official announcement confirming Markle’s involvement in the series. Amid the speculation, Riaz has advised the Duchess of Sussex to be selective about the projects she takes on, arguing that her acting choices could directly influence how the public perceives her.
Riaz told the outlet: “A return to acting could actually be quite interesting for Meghan because it would take her back to an identity that existed before the Royal Family. There can be something quite powerful about returning to an old profession rather than constantly trying to invent a new one. It could allow people to see Meghan as an actress again, rather than exclusively as the Duchess of Sussex.”
The PR expert believes Markle would benefit from choosing a project that genuinely demonstrates her passion for acting rather than appearing to be another attempt at reinventing her public persona. According to Riaz, an author-backed role could highlight Markle’s thoughtfulness and give her comeback greater credibility.
“The first project would be crucial. If it feels like a serious creative decision and she genuinely embraces the work, it could be refreshing. If it looks like a carefully engineered attempt to reclaim celebrity status, the reaction could be very different,” she added.
Riaz even suggested that returning to her acting roots could ultimately do more for Markle’s public image than some of her other ventures, provided she approaches the comeback with the right project and intentions.
