30 Rock is finally making a return with Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. However, this comeback of the comedy might not be happening in the way longtime fans were expecting. This is because Baldwin, Fey, and several cast members will be back for the 30 Rock 20th Anniversary Show Set, but for a single night.
The television show premiered its first episode on October 11, 2006, and concluded in January 2013 after a seven-season run. This year, NBC is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show with a special live event. The cast of the show, along with special guests, will come together to celebrate the series. The event will happen on October 11 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, and tickets for the live event will be available from August 27, 2026, at 10 am ET. The pre-sales, however, will begin a day earlier on August 26, at 10 am ET.
Alongside celebrating the 20th anniversary of 30 Rock, the live event will also raise funds for The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem. The President & CEO of The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, Shaba R. Keys, stated, per Variety, “We’re honored to be named the charitable partner for this celebration. All net proceeds go directly toward the after-school, academic, and career programs that help more than 2,000 Harlem young people each year chart a path to their own futures—and we’re grateful to be part of a night this special.”

To announce the celebration of the 20th anniversary of 30 Rock, Tina Fey, aka 30 Rock’s Liz Lemon, said, per Variety, “Listen up tens, a five is speaking! Please join us to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show Tom Shales once said ‘needs a better premise and funnier dialogue… and most of all a more commanding performer in the starring role.'”
Alongside Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, other cast members including Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer will also be present at the event. While Fey portrayed Liz Lemon, Alec Baldwin portrayed Jack Donaghy. The cast also featured Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Keith Powell, Katrina Bowden, alongside others.
The logline for the 138-episode sitcom, per Rotten Tomatoes, reads, “Based more-than-loosely on backstage shenanigans at ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ’30 Rock’ centers on young Liz Lemon, currently head writer for a live sketch-comedy show in New York. Complications follow when the network’s new president orders Liz to hire mentally unstable movie star Tracy Jordan to join the cast, throwing neurotic leading lady (and Liz’s best friend) Jenna Maroney into a tizzy. Liz tries to juggle all the egos around her while trying to chase her own dream.”
