Samara Weaving’s Ready or Not is heading to a new streaming home several years after its theatrical release. The horror thriller gives viewers another opportunity to watch the film that introduced Grace and the deadly tradition of the Le Domas family. Its arrival comes after the release of the film’s 2026 sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.

Samara Weaving’s Ready or Not is getting a new streaming home on Netflix next month. According to What’s On Netflix, the 2019 horror thriller is set to arrive on the platform on September 1, 2026.

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Ready or Not was released in U.S. theaters on August 21, 2019. The film follows Grace, played by Samara Weaving. Grace marries Alex Le Domas and joins his wealthy family at their ancestral estate. What should be a celebration quickly turns into a fight for survival. Grace is forced to participate in a disturbing family tradition.

As part of the ritual, Grace must remain hidden in the mansion from midnight until dawn. Meanwhile, her new in-laws hunt her with guns, crossbows, and other weapons. Realizing that the game is far more dangerous than she expected, she struggles to survive the night before eventually finding a way to fight back against the family.

The cast also includes Adam Brody as Daniel, Mark O’Brien as Alex, Henry Czerny as Tony, Andie MacDowell as Becky, and Melanie Scrofano as Emilie, among others.

The film received a positive critical response upon release. It currently holds an 89 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes from 324 reviews, while its audience score stands at 78 percent. It later received a sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which was released in 2026.
