King Charles ‘Allowed Himself To Be Manipulated’ Into Welcoming Harry & Meghan Back — Author

King Charles, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at the center of royal speculation once again. Reports claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to move back to the U.K. While the move has sparked debate, royal author Tom Sykes believes the King was aware of the plans before they became public.

Author believes King Charles knew way before about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s UK move

According to Page Six, Sykes claimed there was “no way” King Charles III “did not know” about the move before it was reported. A source told the outlet that the monarch was informed of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans on Sunday.

These claims follow new reports from the BBC. A spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed the family plans to leave California. They intend to relocate to a private, non-royal home outside London. The report said Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have been enrolled at a British school.

Sykes argued that the situation reflects a major shift within the royal family. He claimed it was “a very, very dangerous situation” and suggested that Charles had “allowed himself to be manipulated into welcoming them home.” The author also said he believes Queen Elizabeth II would not have handled the situation in the same way.

Despite his concerns, Sykes described the reported relocation as “a huge moment for Harry and Meghan” and their children. He noted that the family would be returning to Britain for what Page Six described as “an extended period.” The royal author also admitted he had suspected changes were coming for the Sussexes. However, he said he “never imagined it would be anything of this magnitude or they’d be happening this quickly.”

Sykes ultimately described the reported move by Harry and Meghan as “quite extraordinary.” If the move goes ahead, Prince Harry and Meghan would remain non-working members of the royal family. The reported relocation would not restore their previous royal roles. Buckingham Palace and King Charles have not commented on Sykes’ remarks. Harry and Meghan have not personally commented on the reports.
