Slow Horses Season 6 Trailer Teases More Deaths in Apple TV Spy Show

Apple TV‘s new trailer for Slow Horses teases more deaths in Season 6. The spy drama has won the Emmy and BAFTA Awards and stars the Academy Award Winner Sir Gary Oldman. Season 6 is adapted from Mick Herron’s sixth and seventh novels, Joe Country and Slough House, from the Slough House book series.

The official synopsis follows: “A dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5, known unaffectionately as Slough House. Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes and who frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. Season 6 sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”

What happens in the Slow Horses Season 6 trailer?

The Primetime Emmy Award-winning show’s sixth season opens with Jackson Lamb breaking into Diana Taverner’s house to ask her if she knew anything about the Slow Horses “turning up dead,” as glimpses of two hitmen carrying out the gruesome murders of the Slow Horses are shown.

As these hitmen target the Slough House members one by one, Lamb orders everyone to get to the safehouse, which is compromised, leading the members to go on the run. However, towards the end of the trailer, the Slow Horses are shown retaliating in gunfights and explosive action scenes to protect themselves.

Along with Oldman, the ensemble includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce, Hugo Weaving, and Lenny Rush. Oliva Cooke will reprise her role as Sidonie Baker in the upcoming season.

Adam Randall is returning to direct Slow Horses Season 6. Oldman also serves as the executive producer of the show with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Adam Randall, Gail Mutrux, and Douglas Urbanski.

Slow Horses’ first five seasons are available to stream on Apple TV. Season 6’s first episode will premiere on the platform on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. This will be followed by a weekly release of one episode, culminating in the finale on October 21, 2026.
