Donald Trump seems to be forging a fresh bond with the Supreme Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, as evidenced by his recent social media updates. The POTUS recently took to his Truth Social profile to share a meme in reference to the dynamics he currently shares with his Asian counterpart, adding to the supposed talks the two world leaders have had of late.
Donald Trump posts North Korean leader’s meme on Truth Social amid new talks
On August 17, Donald Trump posted a suggestive meme on his Truth Social account that saw Kim Jong Un making a phone call while being surrounded by military personnel. The picture also included a caption that had the North Korean leader saying, “Hey Donald, we cool…right?”
The social media update came just hours after he shared a lengthy rant against South Korea for not helping the US in its campaign against Iran. In his message, the president also highlighted his prospering relations with North Korea and its leader. “Based on my very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, of North Korea, I am not happy with the fact that the United States has, long ago, agreed to participate in Joint Military Exercises with South Korea,” Donald Trump wrote.
The President added that South Korea’s attitude sends a “signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile, to a Country that, as long as Donald J. Trump has been President, has been unthreatening and respectful.”
Donald Trump recently claimed that Kim Jong Un had finally responded to his outreach attempts. While he emphasized that the two had established contact, the Republican Party leader failed to produce any evidence for his claims. On Monday, he further lauded the professional bond he shares with the North Korean politician, stating, “Kim Jong Un has always treated me with great respect. I understand him. He understands me.”
