Taylor Swift missed Travis Kelce‘s Chiefs game day on August 15 for a valid reason. While some fans may have expected Swift to attend Kelce’s preseason debut last weekend, she was unable to make it as she was attending a friend’s wedding. The songstress tied the knot with the NFL star in early July at Madison Square Garden. The couple has since made one public appearance together at JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk’s wedding.

On August 15, Travis Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, made their preseason debut at Arrowhead Stadium. However, the star tight end’s newlywed wife was not there to cheer him, as she was attending a wedding in the UK. Taylor Swift was at recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk’s wedding.
Held at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath, Gloucestershire, the nuptials brought together some of the biggest names in the music industry. Swift’s close friends, Sabrina Carpenter and Jack Antonoff, also attended the wedding. Other celebrity guests included Phoebe Bridgers.
For the wedding, Swift opted for a midnight blue gown with golden botanical applique and a plunging V-neckline. She completed her look with a Cartier Love Unlimited bracelet and an Aquazzura Sundance Crystal Clutch.
Sisk and Swift go way back, as the former has worked on several of the 36-year-old’s albums over the years, including 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department. In fact, Sisk was also a guest at the All Too Well singer’s wedding. It was only fitting that Swift was there to celebrate her longtime collaborator’s special day.
Meanwhile, Jacobs is also one of the many professionals who have worked with the Grammy winner. He has a personal connection with his wedding venue, as he started his career at Real World Studios. He became the head engineer before heading off to Los Angeles in 2022.
