Prince William and Prince Harry‘s alleged feud keeps sparking interest. The royal brothers have reportedly been estranged for years due to numerous reasons. On a recent podcast, a discussion emerged about whether Meghan Markle and Harry would apologize to push the reunion. However, as per a former royal butler, the Duke’s apology might make no difference to his elder brother.
Prince Harry’s public apology would not affect Prince William, per royal insider
On “The Royals Uncensored” podcast, ex-royal butler Grant Harrold said that Prince Harry’s apology might not fix things with Prince William. The podcast saw a discussion between Harrold, royal expert Kinsey Schofield, and Jo Elvin. Schofield wondered about “a public apology” by the Sussexes for their behavior, as she believes Harry wants a reconciliation. However, she wondered whether the Royal Family wants a “personal” or “professional reconciliation” with the Duke of Sussex.
Elvin noted that it would be a “handbrake turn for Meghan [Markle] and Harry to come out with a public apology.” She asked Harrold his opinion, who replied, “I just find it really hard to kind of believe because I think that, of course, we would all love it if they actually did that.” Elvin interrupted that she doesn’t think everyone would love that. Harrold agreed, saying, “They certainly probably wouldn’t enjoy doing it. I think the problem is it so much has now happened. It’s such a difficult thing to do.”
“Where do you even begin? Which parts do they apologize for, and I just find that quite hard to believe that would actually happen,” Harrold further elaborated. “Not to say it wouldn’t, I just find it hard to believe. I think one person that would probably love it would be William.” He noted how Schofield mentioned William’s point of view, how “trust is a big thing, and that’s been so damaged over the years.”
Harrold continued, “Even with a public apology, I still don’t see any way back now between the two of them.” The royal insider shared that he heard from inside that the Prince of Wales “is still adamant he doesn’t want anything to do with his brother.” However, from what Harrold understood, King Charles “does want some sort of relationship, especially with his grandchildren.”
