More than a decade after its theatrical release, Jurassic World is attracting renewed attention on streaming. Starring Jimmy Fallon, the $1.6 billion sci-fi blockbuster has climbed into Hulu’s Top 10 movies in the United States. The film’s latest streaming performance is bringing the 2015 dinosaur adventure back into the spotlight as the new dinosaur-themed movie The End of Oak Street prepares to debut in theaters.
Jurassic World is getting rediscovered on Hulu
Jurassic World is seeing renewed interest on Hulu nearly a decade after its theatrical release. According to FlixPatrol, the sci-fi blockbuster ranked No. 3 on Hulu’s Top 10 movies in the United States on August 12, 2026. It also placed ahead of several popular movies, including Muzzle: City of Wolves, Jurassic Park, Men in Black, The Avengers and Twilight.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World was released in U.S. theaters on June 12, 2015. The film is set 22 years after the events of the original Jurassic Park movie, with the dinosaur park on Isla Nublar now operating as a major tourist attraction.
The park’s scientists have created a genetically modified dinosaur known as the Indominus rex. When the creature escapes containment, it begins causing chaos across the park, causing other dinosaurs to also run loose.
Chris Pratt leads the film’s cast as Owen Grady, alongside Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, Vincent D’Onofrio as Vic Hoskins, Ty Simpkins as Gray Mitchell, and Nick Robinson as Zach Mitchell. Jimmy Fallon also makes a cameo appearance as himself.
The film was received positively overall by both critics and audiences. Jurassic World holds a 72 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes from 357 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score stands at 78 percent. The film also became a major box office success, earning $1.67 billion worldwide.
According to Box Office Mojo, the movie’s worldwide total includes more than $652 million from the domestic market and over $1 billion from international theaters.
