Prime Video‘s upcoming crime thriller Bishop has added four new cast members to its ensemble. Alex Breaux (Stranger Things), Steven Yaffee (Ghosts), Ally Ioannides (Into the Badlands), and Gerardo Celasco (The Waterfront) have joined the cast.
Joel Kinnaman is playing the lead role of homicide detective Bishop Graves. Created by Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, the show focuses on the detective who is on a hunt to catch the killer who is targeting San Francisco’s elite class.
What do we know about Bishop so far?
Bishop follows the life of Bishop Graves, a brilliant and experienced homicide detective played by Joel Kinnaman. His intelligence has been put to the test as he has to find the mysterious killer targeting the rich people of San Francisco. The situation worsens when the killer becomes popular and develops a strong fan following among the powerless class of the city.
The investigation leads him to believe that all these murders are linked to the most powerful man in San Francisco, his father, Lincoln Graves (John Malkovich). This creates a conflict in his mind as he tries to uncover the truth and catch the killer. Jennifer Jason Leigh also stars in the show as Jillian Graves, Lincoln Graves’ sister, and Bishop Graves’ aunt.
The show has a long and impressive star cast. Xavier Samuel plays the role of Anthony ‘Ant’ Graves, Bishop Graves’ younger brother. Jordana Brewster plays the role of Kat Claiborne, an experienced inspector at the San Francisco Police Department. Apart from them, the show also casts Harry Treadaway, Ulrich Thomsen, Jennifer Beals, Erik Svedberg-Zelman, John Larroquette, Rob Yang, Adam J. Harrington, Bronson Pinchot, Ron Lea, Hunter Dillon, Dillon Casey, Jorja Cadence, Brett Donahue, Ishan Davé, Kaniehtiio Horn, and Rick Hoffman.
The details of characters for the latest additions to the show haven’t been officially announced yet. The co-creators, Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, are also the executive producers of the show along with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon. Michael Uppendahl will be directing the pilot episode of the show. Prime Video has yet to announce a release date for Bishop.
