Lionsgate has announced the special Blu-ray release date for a popular 1991 martial arts movie. Sasha Mitchell and Emmy Award-winning actor Peter Boyle featured in the classic film Kickboxer 2: The Road Back. The limited-edition release will also include bonus content.
Kickboxer 2‘s VESTRON Collector’s Series Blu-ray (#41) and digital release will be available on September 15, 2026. Fans can pre-order the release now. This marks the first time the movie will be released on Blu-ray.
Directed by Albert Pyun, Kickboxer 2 is set a year after the events of the first film of the franchise, which came out in 1989. The movie follows David Sloane, who struggles to keep his family gym afloat following the deaths of his brothers. With no other way to escape the financial crisis, Sloane returns to the ring after accepting a shady deal with a promoter. Sloane’s growing victories soon catch the attention of the brutal kickboxer Tong Po, who wants to take him down.
What special features are included in the Kickboxer 2 Blu-ray?
The limited edition Kickboxer 2 Blu-ray features bonus content. These include Lionsgate Limited Extras and Legacy Special Features.
