According to cooking legend Martha Stewart, the former Suits star had been “talking about” her UK trip at a dinner party in California. Notably, Markle and Stewart were both present at the same event. For those unversed, Prince Harry visited the UK in early July to honor his commitment to the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games. His wife and kids joined him toward the end of his work trip.

Martha Stewart claimed that Meghan Markle reportedly gossiped about her recent UK trip at an A-list party. The 85-year-old revealed she heard the Duchess of Sussex talking about the trip after having “just gotten back from the palace.”
Stewart told PEOPLE, “I had dinner with Meghan Markle the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”
It seems like the “palace” the Duchess reportedly mentioned isn’t Buckingham Palace but reportedly refers to the monarch’s private residence, Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. On July 10, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted the Sussexes and their children, Archie and Lilibet, for a brief and private visit. It was Markle and the children’s first visit to the UK in four years.
In the same report by PEOPLE, Stewart took a subtle dig at Markle. When asked what she thought of the Duchess of Sussex “stepping” into her shoes with her own cooking and lifestyle show, the cooking legend delivered a sharp response. She said, “If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show. It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there.”
