Adam Sandler‘s daughter, Sunny, shared his unusual ritual in the pool. She revealed that her dad likes to wear socks while in the water and then take them off later by floating his feet up. Interestingly, one of his 90s movies appears to show evidence of that habit.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Sunny told Jimmy Fallon how, in their childhood, they used to mimic their father’s dressing sense and his habit of getting into the pool with socks on. She said, “My mom tells a story from when I was younger.”
She continued, “Me and my sister, we dressed up in his clothes, before that was popular and cool. The big shirts, the shorts, we held Diet Cokes and yelled about the air conditioning being off. And then we jumped in the pool with our socks on.”
She revealed that her father hops into the pool with his socks on, as he can’t bend to take them off on land. Fallon, in disbelief, told her this doesn’t appear to be true. His comment was then followed by an appreciation for Sandler’s personality.
“He’s the funniest dude ever,” he added. Sunny said that whatever she said is true. Once again, the host reconfirmed by asking, “So he jumps in the pool with his socks and then floats his feet up to take them off?”
The actress agreed and then revealed that Sandler later drains his socks and then plays catch with them. While on the internet, there’s no sighting of Sandler with his socks on in a swimming pool. there’s one particular movie that provides evidence of his unusual ritual. It is Billy Maddison; in it, he sports his socks and shoes while he dives into an inner tube in the pool.
Last year, Sunny appeared in the Sandler-led Happy Gilmore 2 as Vienna. This year, she will star in the teen musical film Don’t Say Good Luck, which comes out on August 14.
