Theo Von and David Spade‘s comedy movie Busboys is heading to Hulu next month. The film will begin streaming on the platform very soon. Fans who missed it in theaters can finally watch it on the streaming platform.

Busboys starring Theo Von and David Spade gets a Hulu release date

Theo Von and David Spade’s comedy movie Busboys has officially locked its streaming release. According to Hulu, the film will arrive on Hulu on August 14, 2026. The movie was directed by Jonah Feingold and written and produced by David Spade and Theo Von. Robert Ogden Barnum and Ezra Cooperstein also served as producers.

The comedy first opened in theaters back in April 2026. It follows two longtime friends chasing an easy path to success. They believe becoming waiters will improve their social status and set them on the path to better money.

However, their simple plan quickly turns into a series of comedic situations with a focus on friendship and bad decisions. The film’s official synopsis reads, “A pair of idiot friends believes that if they become waiters, all of their problems will be solved. They aren’t entirely wrong, but they aren’t entirely right.”

The film is led by David Spade as Markie Montgomery and Theo Von as Steefen Barn. Tim Dillon plays restaurant manager Tim in the movie. Trevor Wallace appears as Terry, while Jay Pharoah plays an undercover DEA agent.

The movie also stars Charlotte McKinney, Chris Elliott, Michelle Ortiz, Leah McKendrick, Christian Gnecco Quintero, Jimmy Gonzales, Tiago Martinez, and Vanessa Gonzales in supporting roles. The independent film had a modest box office run. According to Box Office Mojo, the comedy earned $2.6 million worldwide. It currently holds a 65% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

With its Hulu release only weeks away, subscribers will soon get another chance to watch Theo Von and David Spade’s latest independent comedy from home.
