Bill O’Reilly just told his longtime friend in the White House something he probably didn’t want to hear. The conservative commentator urged President Donald Trump to step back from his duties and go for some “golf” and “relax” time, citing concerns about his physical condition at 80 years old.
Bill O’Reilly has a message for Donald Trump
Bill O’Reilly advised President Donald Trump to step away from his presidential duties for a month on Tuesday’s episode of the No Spin News podcast. The conservative commentator expressed concern about the 80-year-old president’s physical condition. O’Reilly noted visible signs of aging while discussing his 35-year friendship with Trump.
“As you know, I’ve known the president 35 years, and he’s 80 years old right now,” O’Reilly said during the episode. He observed that Trump “is hunching over a little bit” and acknowledged aging as a natural process. “That’s normal. You get older, every malady in the world is going to visit you,” he added.
O’Reilly then directly urged Trump to prioritize rest despite ongoing global conflicts. “Take the next month off if you can get into an environment where you like golf and relax a little bit,” he suggested. The advice came even as the U.S. remains engaged in military conflict with Iran.
The commentator acknowledged the weight of the Iran situation on Trump’s schedule. “You got to deal with Iran. I understand that. Everybody understands it,” O’Reilly said. However, he argued that the president could manage the crisis remotely. “You can do that on the phone, and you can do that with your people coming,” he continued.
O’Reilly emphasized the urgency of his recommendation by comparing his own need for rest. He stated that Trump “needs a breather much more than I do” and planned to build downtime into his own August schedule. The host then closed by wishing well to all former presidents, including those he named as “Bill Biden” and Barack Obama. “Always respected the office. I did always,” O’Reilly concluded.
