Severance star Adam Scott just locked in his next big project, and it’s coming sooner than you think. The actor will lead a genre-bending thriller comedy alongside an impressive ensemble cast, with a theatrical release date already confirmed.
Adam Scott’s The Saviors sets early 2027 release date
Vertical has secured North American distribution rights for Kevin Hamedani’s comedic thriller The Saviors, Deadlinereports. The film will arrive in theaters on March 26, 2027. Adam Scott and Danielle Deadwyler lead the cast as married couple Sean and Kim pursuing a divorce.
The pair decide to rent out their guest house to fund home repairs before selling the property. Theo Rossi and Nazanin Boniadi portray a Middle Eastern brother and sister who move in as tenants. Strange events quickly begin surfacing ahead of a presidential visit to the town. The couple notices mysterious lights, vanishing animals, and glimpses of unexplainable technology around the property. Their growing suspicion of the tenants ultimately reignites the emotional bond they once shared.
The supporting cast includes Kate Berlant, Daveed Diggs, Ron Perlman, Colleen Camp, and Greg Kinnear. Hamedani directed the feature and co-wrote the script alongside Travis Betz. The project marks his third directorial effort following Junk and ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction.
“It is a dream to share such a deeply personal film as The Saviors with audiences on the big screen, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Vertical,” Hamedani said. “Their bold slate, fearless approach to storytelling, and passion for championing distinctive films make them the perfect home for our movie.”
Vertical Partner Peter Jarowey also praised the creative team behind the thriller. “Kevin and Travis have crafted a sharp, timely script that blends biting humor with edge-of-your-seat suspense,” Jarowey said. “This is a provocative, entertaining thriller that will leave audiences talking long after the credits roll.”
Highway 10 financed the production, with Matt Smith and Dan Gedman producing for the company. Additional producers include Nicholas Weinstock and Divya D’Souza for Invention Studios. Naomi Scott and Adam Scott produced through Great Scott, while Bradley Gallo and Michael Helfant produced via Amasia.
