The Asylum has released a trailer for its horror-adventure film Shark Frenzy. Best known for its Sharknado films, the studio is back with another shark survival thriller.
The film’s official synopsis reads, “A family vacation goes wrong when their daughter and her friends get lost at sea on a fishing boat. When that boat is destroyed, they survive in a rowboat, then the open ocean. Her parents race to find her as sharks circle ever closer.”

What do we see in the Shark Frenzy trailer?
The Shark Frenzy trailer opens with two people fishing on a small boat in the open ocean. As one of them jumps into the water for fun, a massive shark suddenly attacks the one on the boat, killing him in the opening scene.
The next scene introduces Rob Miller, his wife, and their 18-year-old daughter on a family vacation. As her father refuses to let her go boating with her newly met friends, the teenager secretly sneaks away to join them. Meanwhile, the couple’s young son also slips away from his parents and boards a fishing boat with a teenager.
Keeping their phones away, the group enjoys jet-skiing and spending time on the water, where they encounter a giant shark. The shark attack destroys their boat, leaving them stranded at sea. Forced into a small rowboat with little hope of rescue, the group soon realizes they are surrounded by multiple hungry sharks under the water.
Meanwhile, their parents launch a search at sea to find their children before it’s too late. As the sharks close in and tensions among the stranded survivors rise, the trailer teases a series of brutal shark attacks and a dire need to stay alive in the middle of the ocean.
Written by M.L. Miller, Shark Frenzy features an ensemble cast of David Chokachi, Sarafina King, Sophia Sabol, Brian Latimer, Daniel Cobden, and Keenan Warda. The film runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes and is now available on Prime Video.
