King Charles didn’t meet Prince Harry alone, according to a source. It was reported that the monarch wanted someone as a witness to his meeting with his second son and his family. Hence, Queen Camilla accompanied her husband to the reunion. For those unversed, Harry brought his wife, Meghan Markle, and his kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the palace. The Sussexes met Charles and Camilla at Highgrove House on July 10.

King Charles and Prince Harry’s reunion has been making headlines for over a year. This time, it was reported that Meghan Markle and her children also joined her husband. However, Page Six claimed that Charles took one drastic step ahead of the most anticipated meeting. “The queen was there for a reason. To make sure that everything was witnessed,” royal writer Robert Jobson said.
Allegedly, the 77-year-old monarch wanted a witness during his reunion with Harry and his family. According to the expert, Charles might have made this decision after the Sussexes slammed the royal family.
After the “Megxit” in 2020, the couple spilled royal secrets and badmouthed the constitution in the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview. They seemingly did the same in the 2022 Netflix docu-series (“Harry & Meghan”), and Harry’s 2023 “Spare” memoir.
Therefore, the king didn’t reportedly want to risk any more setbacks. Queen Camilla’s presence at the meeting was said to be due to this reason. Moreover, the monarch allegedly wanted the reunion under wraps. Jobson told the outlet that the “only people who know [what they talked about] were inside the room” at Highgrove.
So far, there have been no media reports about their conversation. In fact, photos of Markle and her kids visiting the UK also didn’t surface online. They had met the king after four years.
