Jason Kelce reveals Travis Kelce can actually ‘sing’ after Taylor Swift wedding duet
Jason Kelce has opened up about Travis Kelce’s unexpected singing moment alongside Taylor Swift at the wedding, noting that he held his own.
During his recent appearance on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast, the NFL alum weighed in on his brother’s vocal skills. He went on to confirm that the newlyweds did a duet at their July 3 wedding at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
“Trav can sing,” said the retired Philadelphia Eagles center. He added that the 36-year-old has always had a decent voice, noting, “Trav has always been able to carry a tune. Obviously paled in comparison to some of the other people singing that night, but he did okay.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks both took the stage for the couple’s roughly thousand guests. ESPN analyst Pat McAfee also shared that Avril Lavigne performed her 2002 hit, “Sk8r Boi.”
Additionally, Tucker, who was at the high-profile wedding with his wife Kara, also had praise for Travis Kelce. The podcast host went on to say that listeners could have easily mistaken the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for a professional vocalist.
“My sister-in-law, like a couple days afterwards said, ‘Um, is it true that Travis and Taylor sang?’ And I said, ‘Yeah,’” Tucker shared. “And she said, ‘Is he good?’ I said, ‘Yeah, actually he is good’… And I think she said, ‘Are those guys just good at everything?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. They might be.’”
In his response, Jason Kelce traced it back to their childhood. He explained that their habit of taking on different things probably stems from growing up in Cleveland Heights.
