The reports indicated that the royal family might be ready to mend relations with the Sussexes.

Prince William reportedly is not on board with a possible reunion with Prince Harry. William considers it “difficult” due to trust issues. The Sussexes met the King and Queen, but not the Prince and Princess of Wales. According to Radar Online, reports suggested that William and Middleton remained engaged in official duties in Scotland while Harry was in London.
Critics have expressed doubts about whether there will be a reunion between the Sussexes and the royals. A royal source dished, “William believes trust has been broken beyond repair and sees recent reconciliation efforts as being driven by Harry’s own interests rather than the family’s. From his perspective, there is simply no appetite for reopening old wounds.”
Continuing further, the source shared, “There is a feeling that every gesture now is viewed through the lens of past interviews, memoirs, and documentaries. That has made any meaningful reconciliation incredibly difficult.”
Journalist and royal commentator Maureen Callahan previously addressed the rift between the brothers during an appearance on Sky News. Callahan argued that William no longer wants any contact with Harry. She added that his attempts at reconciliation with the Royal Family are a “selfish, cynical ploy to save his own skin.”
Moreover, Callahan implied that any chance of a reunion is only possible if Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, is not in the picture. Interestingly, the royal commentator accused the Duchess of “fakeness and inauthenticity.”
