Will Ferrell’s 2018 Sherlock Holmes comedy, Holmes & Watson, is set to arrive on Netflix soon. Notably, the movie is coming to the platform following the recent release of Millie Bobby Brown’s film Enola Holmes 3. Apart from Ferrell, Holmes & Watson features a star cast including John C. Reilly, Ralph Fiennes, Rebecca Hall, Rob Brydon, Kelly McDonald, and many more.

2018 comedy movie Holmes & Watson is coming to Netflix on August 1, 2026, according to a report by What’s On Netflix.
After the release of Enola Holmes 3, another Sherlock Holmes movie is making its way to the streaming platform. Directed by Etan Cohen, Holmes & Watson was released in theaters on December 25, 2018. However, despite a reported budget of $42 million, the comedy movie failed to make an impression at the worldwide box office. Holmes & Watson turned out to be a disaster both financially and critically.
According to a report by Box Office Mojo, Holmes & Watson garnered an opening collection of $7.4 million from over 2,700 theaters. In the domestic market, it made around $30 million, whereas its collection from the international market was $9.8 million. Accordingly, the global total for the Sherlock Holmes comedy movie was $40 million.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie bombed with critics and received a poor score of 10 percent on the Tomatometer based on reviews. On the Popcornmeter, the score of the movie stands slightly higher at 26 percent based on audience reviews. This is much lower than the recently released Enola Holmes 3, which got a score of 68 percent from critics on the Tomatometer. The Millie Bobby Brown movie has become a streaming hit since its release on July 1, 2026. The movie reportedly recorded over 20.7 million views within a span of five days.
