Tom Slater mocked Meghan Markle over her alleged reaction to being branded as “royalty” on MasterChef Australia. Slater told Sky News host Jaimee Rogers: “They’ve been trying to trade on these titles for a very long time. They saw it as almost a kind of cheat code into the top player of the international celebrity set.”
Continuing further, he remarked sharply: “It’s just so utterly hypocritical, but we’ve come to expect that from these two.” Interestingly, according to the Daily Mail, the Sussexes are considering a reversal of Megxit after their recent private meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla at his residence last Friday, during Harry’s trip to Britain.
According to the outlet, the couple is eyeing a return to the UK after their American dream failed to yield fruitful results. A friend of Harry stated, “There is definitely a feeling in his camp that he has started to feel a bit unwelcome in America. That has been an increasing and significant shift in sentiment, a feeling that the American dream might not be all that it was cracked up to be.”
“I am told that this is coming from Meghan as well as from him. I hear that Meghan is all for rekindling and reconnecting with Harry’s English side. She is fully behind it,” the friend added.
Furthermore, the source explained that Harry is deeply attached to England, his home country. Previously, the Sussexes stepped down from being working royals to make a fortune in America. The couple hoped that their royalty status and star power would power them through. Unfortunately, things haven’t panned out as they’d hoped.
The source added: “They have had successes. A $100 million Netflix deal is not nothing. But that American dream is cooling, and she feels an outcast status as well.”
