Prince George Will Start College With One Advantage William Never Had — Expert

A royal biographer suggests that Prince George‘s experience at Eton College will differ from his father Prince William’s. They noted the difference in the parental relations both father and son came from. Prince William attended Eton College in 1995, studying geography, biology, and history of art for his A-Levels.

Prince George’s college days will have one major difference, says expert

Prince George will attend Eton College, starting this September. However, a royal biographer, Robert Jobson, claims that his experience there will be nothing like his father, Prince William. He pointed to the impact of Princess Diana and King Charles’ broken marriage during Prince William’s college years before highlighting the healthy relationship between George’s parents.

“The difference is everything. William walked into Eton carrying his parents’ marital war. George walks in from a settled home. Two parents, together, who built him a base and guard it fiercely. Confidence is not taught. It is absorbed,” he said.

While Prince William and Kate Middleton have worked to give their children a happy childhood, Jobson clarified that it does not mean the youngsters haven’t witnessed difficult times within their family.

“‘He [Prince George] has not been spared pain. He watched his mother fight and beat cancer. He watched his grandfather live with it. He has emerged steadier,” he said. He notes that while Eton would be a “challenge,” staying closer to home will help George tackle it with ease.

Additionally, the biographer also shared what subjects interest Prince George. It’s learned that he’s good at history a lot more than his father is. “‘He is smart. He loves history. Standing before Henry VIII’s armour last October, his father said it plainly.”

“George, my son, is way better in history than I am, and I have to check with him now on my dates,” Jobson elaborated. Moreover, he also shared that apart from his academic interests, Prince George also likes hockey and football (via Daily Mail).
