North West is sparking debate after showcasing hand piercings
Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for allowing North West to have hand piercings, raising questions around health and parenting. North, who is all set to make her debut tour alongside Molly Santana, has showcased her piercings in numerous social media posts. In addition, eyebrows were raised even recently when she was spotted sporting a lip piercing and a face tattoo in the wake of her tour promotion. The tattoo read, “Are you ready for the Kimokawaii tour?”
Despite being dragged into the spotlight repeatedly for her sense of style, North did hit back at critics for the backlash in 2025. She posted a TikTok lip-sync video in which the audio was “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.” She captioned it that her video was dedicated to all those who were mad over her piercing. Before this, North and Kim Kardashian also responded to a video, expressing concerns over the piercings. They commented, “It’s okay,” followed by a heart-shaped emoji (via PEOPLE).
Recently, Whoopi Goldberg backed Kardashian, who has been receiving massive backlash over North’s piercings, on an episode of The View. She said, “If she and her kid decided that’s okay, why do you care? Leave this child alone. What’s your children doing?” She added that every parent at the table would allow their kids to make specific choices when they believe the time is right for them.
