An A-list celebrity skipped Taylor Swift’s much-hyped wedding because of the pop star’s former partner. Shania Twain had to skip the star-studded ceremony because of her prior obligations with Harry Styles. For those unfamiliar, the award-winning vocalist and the British singer dated briefly from late 2012 to early 2013.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot on July 3, and the highly anticipated celebration drew a crowd of A-list guests. Shania Twain, however, was nowhere to be seen.
In a recent interview, the country star opened up about why she couldn’t make it to the Madison Square Garden wedding. “Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding, and I couldn’t go because I was already committed to Harry [Styles’] shows,” Twain told etalk.
The Canadian musician opened for Harry Styles during his 12-night “Together, Together” stadium run at London’s Wembley Stadium. The concerts took place from June 12 through July 4, just one day after the celebrity couple tied the knot.
“I would have done anything to be at Taylor’s wedding,” Twain added, noting that she wasn’t aligning with anyone.. “I would have done anything, and that would have been really lovely for me to be there — but I was with Harry.”
Earlier, Ryan Seacrest had also shared why he missed the celebrity wedding of the year.
“I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the 4th of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, so I had to cancel,” the television host revealed, reported Us Weekly.
The 51-year-old admitted that he weighed the options carefully. Because the wedding was in the afternoon, attending both wasn’t an option. However, the invitation honored and excited him deeply.
Even with a few notable absences, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding was packed with close friends and family. The guest list featured Selena Gomez and husband Benny Blanco, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, and Ed Sheeran. Karlie Kloss, Ellie Goulding, Kelsea Ballerini, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, and several others were also there.
