Donald Trump Jr. Says Charlie Kirk Evidence Leaves One Big Question

Donald Trump Jr. says unsealed evidence settles the debate, but one major question still haunts him about that night. The president’s eldest son shared his takeaways after attending the preliminary hearing in the Charlie Kirk murder case.

Donald Trump Jr. says the case looks clear but questions Utah Valley University security

Donald Trump Jr. attended the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson in Provo, Utah, this week, Fox News reports. Robinson stands accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025. Trump Jr. told “Jesse Watters Primetime” that unsealed evidence makes Robinson’s guilt clear.

“Based on everything that I saw in that courtroom, it’s very clear to me that Tyler Robinson did this,” he said. Robinson, 23, allegedly admitted to killing Kirk in text messages to his roommate after the shooting. He reportedly told his roommate he “had enough of his hatred,” according to testimony from Thursday’s hearing.

“This stuff is very cut-and-dry at this point,” Trump Jr. said on the program. “The DNA evidence, the fact that… he turned himself in… to me, it puts so much of this at rest.” Kirk, 31, was the founder of Turning Point USA and was speaking at his “American Comeback Tour” when he was shot.

Trump Jr. also raised concerns about the security presence at the event. He questioned why only six police officers were active at a major university campus event. “These are big events,” he said. “I’ve done 100 of them with Charlie Kirk on college campuses all over the place.” He added that TPUSA events usually attract thousands of attendees and draw heavier law enforcement.

Trump Jr. argued that public sentiment has shifted from “50-50” to “90-10” on Robinson’s guilt. He acknowledged understanding why some people remain skeptical about the case. However, he maintained that the newly unsealed evidence effectively dismisses surrounding conspiracy theories. Robinson could face the death penalty if convicted. Prosecutors plan to present additional evidence during Friday’s hearing, and a trial date has not yet been set.
