Prince Harry Slips Into UK Event Away From Cameras — Report

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, continued his UK visit on Wednesday with another Invictus Games event. This time, he entered through a side entrance to avoid photographers waiting outside. His low-key arrival came a day after his first public appearance in London attracted significant attention amid ongoing discussions about his security arrangements.

Prince Harry reportedly keeps a low profile amid dramatic UK return

The Duke of Sussex began the second day of his five-day UK visit by keeping out of the spotlight. He reportedly entered his scheduled event through a side entrance instead of walking past the assembled media outside.

Prince Harry returned to Britain on Tuesday for a series of engagements marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. His visit has drawn significant attention following days of reports about his accommodation, travel plans, and security arrangements.

During Harry’s visit to an Invictus Games Foundation event at Chatham House on Tuesday, two unarmed officers from the Metropolitan Police stood near his private security team shortly before he left. According to the Daily Express, the officers were part of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team. They responded after concerns that members of the media and people gathered outside were blocking the road and a nearby public footpath. The report added that the officers briefly assisted Harry’s security team in managing the situation before returning to their normal duties. The police presence was not related to the Duke’s personal protection.

Harry’s latest UK trip follows ongoing debate over his security arrangements while visiting Britain. Reports have stated that Meghan Markle and the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, did not accompany him on this trip. This was after Harry was reportedly not granted taxpayer-funded police protection while a review of his security arrangements remains unresolved.

Despite the ongoing attention to his security arrangements, Harry is spending the week attending Invictus Games events ahead of Birmingham hosting the international competition for wounded, injured, and sick service members and military veterans in 2027.
