The White House has referenced Taylor Swift to promote Donald Trump‘s plans for his America 250 campaign. Trump has openly criticized the singer in the past, and she has shown her support for Democratic candidates in previous presidential elections. Swift is currently busy planning her wedding with fiancé Travis Kelce.
White House promoted Donald Trump’s America 250 campaign in Taylor Swift style
The White House recently posted a photo of Donald Trump with an unexpected Taylor Swift reference to campaign for his America 250 plans.
The photo, posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), was a parody of Swift’s Eras Tour poster, featuring Trump in the middle, with other images depicting historic figures and events from American history. One photo shows a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, while another photo shows George Washington alongside Trump’s image. The edit also includes text referring to Swift’s Eras Tour that reads, “America’s Eras Tour.”
In the caption, the White House wrote, “It’s been a long time coming…,” which is a lyric from Swift’s track “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.”
In the comments, many X users shared their thoughts, with some suggesting that Swift should sue Trump for using her Eras Tour poster. One user wrote, “Cue TayTay’s lawyers.” Another user commented, “@taylorswift13 would NEVER allow you to use any of her IP. I hope she sues and gives the money to charities.”
Trump’s plans for July 4 include a speech at the National Mall after attending a fireworks show. On the other hand, it is speculated that Swift will tie the knot with her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, at Madison Square Garden in NYC over the July 4 weekend. This has led many fans to contemplate whether Swift’s wedding will overshadow the President’s America 250 show plans. As preparations are already underway at Madison Square Garden, the wedding has become one of the year’s most anticipated events.
