According to an insider, Meghan Markle continues to have reservations about travelling to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. She wants to ensure that every possible safety measure is in place. “She wants to know that every possible precaution has been taken before she agrees to a trip,” shared an insider.
The source claimed, “Harry doesn’t blame Meghan for feeling protective, but it has left him feeling very alone at times.” The insider added that each trip Harry makes to Britain without his wife and children reminds him of how divided his personal life has become between California and the UK.
They further claimed Harry worries that the longer Archie and Lilibet remain away from Britain, the more distant they could become from members of the Royal Family. According to the source, the Duke hopes his children will eventually have the opportunity to build a relationship with their grandfather, King Charles. He wants his children to create lasting family memories together.
Prince Harry and Meghan last visited the UK together in 2022 for the funeral of Elizabeth II. Since then, Harry has traveled to the UK on his own. During a visit last September, he met with King Charles III. Many saw the meeting as a step toward improving their relationship.
So far, organizers have not changed the plans for next week’s visit, including the events, venues, or guest list. Harry and his family have also been offered a place to stay on a royal estate, where security is already in place.
