A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that the invitees, including longtime friends, have started to “grumble.” They allegedly think that the soon-to-be-married pair have been “taking the secrecy too far.”
Since the two announced their engagement last August, the pop star has shared her excitement on various talk shows and interviews. She had teased fans, claiming that it would not be an intimate wedding. However, neither she nor Kelce revealed any other wedding details, including venue and date.
Meanwhile, Shuter reported that the guests were informed to be in New York for two days. As no further details were shared, they have allegedly felt distrusted. “Everyone understands wanting privacy, but at some point it starts feeling like they don’t trust the very people they’re inviting,” the insider claimed.
Furthermore, they clarified that the invitees are “not angry” but “annoyed” with the little information. “The message they’re hearing is, ‘We don’t trust you enough to tell you where you’re going.’ That’s frustrating when you’ve rearranged your entire schedule to celebrate the couple,” the source added.
Earlier, a report suggested that Kelce and Swift’s wedding festivities would allegedly begin on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. Allegedly, the guest list would be over 1,000. “I’ve heard Taylor invited so many people it’s going to be bigger than the Met Gala,” an insider told Page Six.
