Netflix has released the trailer for The Bombing of Pan Am 103, featuring Sex Education’s renowned star. The upcoming limited TV series is based on a real-life, tragic bombing of a transatlantic flight.

The official logline of The Bombing of Pan Am 103 reads, “On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over the small Scottish town of Lockerbie, killing 270 people. What followed was the largest murder investigation in the history of Scottish policing, into the deadliest act of terrorism on British soil.

Based on the testimony of those who were there, this is the true story of the collaboration between Scottish police and US law enforcement — and the families’ quest for justice.”

Connor Swindells, known for his performance in Sex Education and SAS Rogue Heroes, will appear in Netflix’s limited series The Bombing of Pan Am 103. The latest trailer depicts the aftermath of the tragic bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in December 1988. Over 270 people were killed in the disastrous incident.

The trailer shows how the Scottish police and U.S. law enforcement joined forces to investigate the bombing and identify those responsible.

Besides Swindells, the limited series also features Patrick J. Adams (Suits, A League of Their Own), Merritt Wever (Unbelievable, Severance), Peter Mullan (Ozark, Payback), Tony Curran (Mary & George, Mayflies), Eddie Marsan (The Power, Ray Donovan), Nicholas Gleaves (After The Flood, The Rising), and Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy, Six Four).

Douglas Hodge (The Great, Catastrophe), Lauren Lyle (Karen Pirie), Andrew Rothney (The Undeclared War, Traces), Molly Geddes (Dinosaur), Khalid Laith (Vigil, Cobra), and Amanda Drew (The Gold, Wolf) are also playing essential roles.

The six-part TV series has Jonathan Lee as the lead writer. Michael Keillor is serving as the director. Julia Stannard serves as producer alongside Simon Heath and Roderick Seligman as the executive producers. Steve Stark, Stacey Levin, Adam Morane-Griffiths, Sara Curran, Herbert L. Kloiber, Jonathan Lee, Michael Keillor, and Gaynor Holmes also serve as executive producers. Joe Hill serves as co-executive producer.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 TV series premieres on July 30, 2026.
