Margot Robbie & Sydney Sweeney Are Battling Over This X-Men Reboot Role — Rumor

Apart from Sydney Sweeney, Marvel is reportedly considering another A-list actress to play a fan-favorite X-Men character in the MCU. Recent rumors had linked the Euphoria star to the role. However, a new report suggests that Margot Robbie could bag the part.

Both Margot Robbie and Sydney Sweeney rumored for X-Men’s Emma Frost

Speculation surrounding the MCU’s highly anticipated X-Men reboot has taken another interesting turn. A new rumor suggests that an Academy Award-nominated actress could be in line to play the iconic mutant, Emma Frost.

According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, “Margot Robbie is also being eyed for the role of Emma Frost in the X-Men reboot.” Notably, Marvel has yet to confirm any casting details, so the claim should be treated as a rumor for now.

Earlier, Sydney Sweeney was rumored to be in consideration for the role, which drew a strong reaction from fans. Many expressed disappointment regarding the potential casting. However, based on the new report, Marvel appears to be far from making any final decisions.

Emma Frost is one of Marvel Comics’ most complex characters, debuting in The Uncanny X-Men #129 in 1980. Initially introduced as a villain, she later became a part of the X-Men. She is known for her telepathic abilities and the signature diamond form. The character has also appeared in previous X-Men films, most notably in X-Men: First Class, in which January Jones portrayed her.

Robbie is best known for her performances in Barbie, The Wolf of Wall Street, and I, Tonya. Moreover, she previously portrayed Harley Quinn in the DCEU films. If the recent rumors are true and Marvel finalizes her for the role, Robbie could join the list of actors who’ve appeared in both DC and Marvel projects.

Meanwhile, details about the X-Men reboot are still under wraps. Marvel is currently focused on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in theaters on July 31. Later this year, Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18.
