With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly coming to England in July, all eyes are on the meeting between King Charles and the Sussexes. However, sources say the reconciliation depends largely on their actions, as “one wrong move” from Markle can dampen the efforts.
King Charles says reconciliation depends on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s actions, per source
King Charles has apparently set clear conditions for meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle upon their UK return next month. The couple is expected to visit Britain with their kids for the first time in four years. Harry is returning to his homeland to attend an event related to the Invictus Games that will take place in Birmingham in 2027. And while all eyes are on the reconciliation between the father and his younger son’s family, a source says that the monarch has warned that any wrong move by Markle could hamper their reconciliation efforts.
A source told Examiner that “Charles has gone against a lot of advice to open this door and truth be told most people around him still think it’s a huge mistake.” However, the monarch has agreed because this is what “Charles wants.” But “one wrong move on Meghan’s part and any hope of a more permanent reconciliation could disappear overnight,” noted the tipster. As per reports, while Charles is keen on meeting his son, especially his grandkids, Queen Camilla and Prince William are maintaining their distance from the Sussexes and are not in favor of Charles meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Per the source, Charles is well aware that he is taking a “huge chance,” and that is why he had “made it very clear to Harry that there cannot be any drama or any hint that this trip is being used for personal gain.” The tipster further added that the monarch is “willing to extend an olive branch, but he’s not willing to be embarrassed or blindsided again.” “If he sees any cameras or gets a whiff of troublemaking that will be the end of things,” noted the source.
