In an interview with Vanity Fair, BLACKPINK’s Lisa unknowingly generated buzz around her alleged relationship with billionaire boyfriend Frédéric Arnault. The interviewer asked her if she’s ever been a heartbreaker. The K-pop star replied: “No.” Furthermore, she added, “I’m the one who got that a lot. I feel like I got heartbroken a lot.”
Vanity Fair reported that the “Money” singer grew visibly emotional about the topic and struggled to answer further. Hence, they moved to other questions. The cover story shared that the pair began dating in 2023 and “seem to have now called it quits.” Vanity Fair also shared that they were not allowed to question the BLACKPINK star anymore about her personal life.
However, elsewhere in the interview, Lisa shared that fans have begun respecting her privacy more since rumors of her relationship with Arnault. The 29-year-old singer said: “I feel like after I came out and talked about how there’s no privacy for me, [fans] now respect that a lot more.”
She also confessed that she has deep admiration for her fans and that “they know that being in this position is not easy.” Lisa added, “Sometimes it’s just a little too much, and sometimes I just want to be normal.”
The pair sparked breakup rumors when fans realized that Arnault missed the Thai singer’s birthday in March this year. Ever since Lisa parted ways with YG Entertainment, she has established her own label, LLOUD. The multi-faceted star is focused on her solo career. She released her debut solo album, Alter Ego, in February 2025. The BLACKPINK star also pivoted to an acting career with the third season of The White Lotus (via PEOPLE).
