On Father’s Day, Donald Trump shared an old photograph on Truth Social showing Margo Catsimatidis seated on a red couch and holding a phone. Alongside the image, he wrote, “Great daughter. My Honor!!! President DJT.”
The post immediately confused followers because the woman pictured was not Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, or any member of Trump’s immediate family. According to multiple reports, the woman was later identified as Margo Catsimatidis, the wife of billionaire businessman and longtime Trump ally John Catsimatidis.
The vintage photo reportedly dates back to the Clinton administration. Margo had connections to Camp David during that period and was known to have maintained friendly ties with former President Bill Clinton and his circle.
The mystery deepened because of Trump’s caption. Some social media users wondered whether he intended to compliment Margo’s daughter, Andrea Catsimatidis. Others speculated that he may have accidentally confused the photo with an image of one of his own daughters.
Andrea eventually weighed in on the viral moment. Rather than address the confusion directly, she thanked the president in a post on X.
“Thank you, Mr President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party, it was an amazing tribute filled with so much American pride. And thank you for everything you are doing for America!” Andrea wrote.
Andrea had recently attended Trump’s birthday celebration and UFC event, sharing photos from the occasion online.
The Catsimatidis family has remained closely connected to Trump for years. Andrea serves as chairwoman of the Manhattan Republican Party and endorsed Trump during both the 2020 and 2024 elections. Her parents and brother also hold leadership roles within the organization.
