Ron Perlman cast in Cross Season 3 on Prime Video
Prime Video has officially added Ron Perlman to the cast of Cross Season 3.
Ron Perlman brings his commanding screen presence and decades-long career across film and television to Cross Season 3. He is expected to make a significant impact when the series returns with eight new episodes.
The actor has built an impressive profile through memorable performances in film and television. His credits include projects such as Hellboy, Pacific Rim, Blade II, Drive, and numerous television dramas. More recently, Perlman has appeared in Fallout, Poker Face, The Capture, Day of Fight, and The Instigators. His upcoming projects include Cape Fear and Kill Jackie.
In Cross Season 3, Perlman will portray Herschel Zamora, a veteran police officer whose career has been marked by a series of troubling incidents. According to the official character description, Zamora “is a cop first and everything else second. Following a series of troubling work-related incidents, Officer Zamora is referred to Dr. Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) for therapy. As Cross digs deeper, he realizes Zamora may be concealing something far more troubling than PTSD” (via The Hollywood Reporter).
The storyline is expected to create one of the season’s most compelling character-driven mysteries. Thus, placing Aldis Hodge’s protagonist in a difficult position as he attempts to uncover the truth.
The casting for this season also reunites Perlman with series creator and showrunner Ben Watkins. They previously worked together on the Amazon drama Hand of God.
Based on the popular Alex Cross novels by James Patterson, the Prime Video series follows detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross. It is an adaption of the bestselling book series. The second season left viewers with major questions about Cross’ future. A pivotal decision altered the course of his career.
The streaming platform has yet to announce an official premiere date for Cross Season 3.
