Prince William Must ‘Protect’ His Family From The Sussexes, Warns Expert

Prince William is being urged to “stand firm” amid reports of a possible Sussex family return to the United Kingdom. A royal commentator has argued that the Prince of Wales should focus on protecting his wife and children while discussions of reconciliation continue. The warning comes after claims that King Charles is making efforts to reconnect with Prince Harry and his family. According to the expert, William’s priorities should remain firmly with his immediate family.

Reports of a possible reunion between King Charles and Prince Harry have sparked strong reactions from royal watchers. Among them is Daily Mail columnist Amanda Platell, who believes Prince William should proceed with caution.

In her latest column, Platell responded to claims that King Charles has extended an “olive branch” to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet ahead of a reported U.K. visit next month. While much of the discussion has focused on the King and his younger son, Platell argued that the Princess of Wales deserves equal consideration.

According to the commentator, Kate Middleton may find the idea of a Sussex homecoming difficult. Platell pointed to several public claims and allegations made over the years that involved the future queen consort. She referenced claims from the 2020 royal biography “Finding Freedom,” which alleged that Catherine was “cold” and “not supportive” toward Meghan. Further, the royal expert highlighted comments made in the Netflix series “Harry & Meghan,” including Meghan’s claim that Catherine was not a “hugger.”

The columnist argued that these controversies are not easy to forget. What’s more, she praised the Princess for her commitment to the monarchy and suggested that she has remained a stabilizing figure for the royal family during challenging periods.

Notably, the strongest advice in the column was directed at William. “William, you must stand firm and protect your family from the Sussexes,” Platell wrote. She argued that any efforts to repair relations with Harry should not come at the expense of William’s wife and children.

Platell reserved particular concern for Catherine. “Most of all, William, protect Kate,” she added, urging the future king to put his family’s interests first. The Daily Mail journalist lastly argued that Kate should not feel “pressured” to meet Meghan if a Sussex visit takes place.
