Recent reports suggest a shocking development in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. Sources claim the alleged kidnapper apologized for her purported death in a ransom note while demanding money in exchange for her body. The note reportedly sounded less confident than an earlier one that sought millions in Bitcoin for her safe return.
New update on Nancy Guthrie case reported
Two notes in a gap of a few days were sent by the alleged kidnapper following Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, which was reported on February 1. According to Air Mail, the second note was sent on February 6, in which the kidnapper sounded less confident and more labored. It reportedly included an apology for Nancy’s alleged accidental death. The kidnapper also suggested the possibility of exchanging money for her body. However, an amount was not specified, unlike the previous note, which stated that the kidnapper wanted millions in Bitcoin.
The first note, however, carried a message about her whereabouts and a warning, sent shortly after she went missing. The alleged kidnapper asked for $4 million in exchange for Nancy’s return. The note warned that the amount be sent by February 5, followed by “or else,” suggesting threatening consequences. Later, the kidnapper also increased the amount to $ 9 million, stating that they had to pay this amount if the previous amount did not reach the account by the aforementioned date. The note stated that Nancy is “safe but scared.” To track down the individual, the officials sent $152 to the given address, hoping to trace those responsible for the disappearance. However, the money remained untouched, and the person wasn’t caught.
Contrarily, TMZ reported the ransom note received earlier didn’t include any apology, and neither mentioned that Guthrie was dead. Before she went missing, the authorities said Nancy visited her daughter, Annie, at her residence for dinner. She returned home around 9:48 p.m. On February 1 at 1:47 a.m., her doorbell camera disconnected. The software detected a person on camera at 2:12 a.m. When Nancy didn’t show up for church the next day, her family checked and reported her missing.
