The Angry Birds Movie 3 rumor hints at sequel’s plot details

A new rumor may have revealed the first major details about The Angry Birds Movie 3. According to entertainment scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the upcoming sequel will introduce Red and Silver’s son, Ollie, along with a brand-new companion character.

“Angry Birds 3 SCOOP: Red and Silver’s baby boy is named Ollie – he has blue feathers and wears yellow glasses. There’s also a new adorable sidekick: a small, furry, fluffy, spider-like creature called Fuzzy. Its body is a bright bluish color, almost like a puffball, and it has oversized, shiny black eyes with a slight glow that make it look cute and expressive,” the X (formerly Twitter) post reads.

Paramount Pictures has officially moved forward with The Angry Birds Movie 3, setting the animated sequel for a worldwide theatrical debut on December 23, 2026. The upcoming film arrives after the strong performance of the first two Angry Birds films. Both proved to be major successes for the franchise.

The film will reunite several of the series’ core cast members. Jason Sudeikis is returning as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver, and Danny McBride as Bomb. They will be joined by a wave of new additions. These include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, and several other newcomers.

The project also marks a return for John Rice. He previously co-directed The Angry Birds Movie 2 and is now set to direct the third film. The screenplay has been penned by Thurop Van Orman.

Further updates regarding the project are likely to be announced as the film moves closer to release.
